When the legislative session concluded, we reviewed every score, every vote, and the broader patterns they revealed. We reflected not only on legislative outcomes, but on who centered the community, who governed through relationship rather than transaction, who remained accountable to directly impacted people, and who led in ways that reflected collective values.
That reflection became this year’s Legislative Scorecard. Rather than publishing a traditional report card for every legislator, we chose to recognize those whose leadership most clearly reflected our values and identify those whose leadership most clearly fell short of them.
2026 legislative scorecard: With the people
The legislators recognized With the People demonstrated what governing alongside the community looked like during one of Colorado’s most challenging and moderate legislative sessions. This recognition reflects decision-making during the 2026 legislative session and acknowledges that, when leadership was tested, these legislators consistently chose to govern with the community. We hope they continue choosing the community in the years ahead.

2026 Legislative scorecard: On notice
The legislators identified On Notice repeatedly fell short of that expectation during the 2026 legislative session. Whether through votes, legislative leadership, missed opportunities, or decisions that failed to reflect the voices and needs of directly impacted communities, their performance left Colorado further from the future our communities deserve.
Being On Notice is not permanent. Accountability means recognizing when you fall short while leaving room for growth, reflection, and a renewed commitment to community.
